Meet the team

Peter Wetherell is the Founder and Chairman of Wetherell responsible for overseeing the sales, management and lettings departments.  He has handled valuations where he was appointed by the Duke of Westminster’s Grosvenor Mayfair Estate as their Valuer for freehold and lease extension claims under the various leasehold reform acts. He acts as a Professional Witness for Mayfair residential values. 

As a development agent he has been responsible for the sale of over 100 office buildings reverting back to their former residential use creating 250 new homes as houses and apartments and has advised on a number of residential schemes for Grosvenor, Land Securities plc, British Land plc, Almacantar and others to bring over 100 new homes to the Mayfair area.

A former Chairman of the Central London branch of The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), created an Eminent Fellow of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Non-Executive Director of LonRes a B2B property data company and also sits on the board of the Central London Estate Agents  Ltd (CLEA) who publish The London Magazine for all of London’s leading estate agents.

In 2021 he celebrated 40 years in business for Wetherell as the leading specialist residential Mayfair estate agents. Peter has a keen involvement in local issues and community projects having lived in Mayfair for a number of years and brought up a family in the area. He is Chairman of The Mount Street Traders’ Association and sits on the board of a number of Stakeholder groups in the area.

Andrew Bishop F.R.I.C.S. has over 35 years’ experience as a Chartered Surveyor working in the Central London property market.

He qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 1974 (M.R.I.C.S.) and was elected a Fellow (F.R.I.C.S.) in 1980.

Andrew first came to London in 1978 to establish the Parsons Green (Fulham) office for Jackson-Stops & Staff and in 1980, opened the Chelsea office in Milner Street and became the youngest main board director of that firm. He ran the Valuation Department until joining Hamptons as a partner and starting his own firm, Bishop Beamish, in 1986.

As an R.I.C.S. Registered Valuer, he has a broad professional base in all aspects of both residential and commercial general practice valuation matters, including lease extension work under the Leasehold Reform regulation (Enfranchisement).

He is a member of the Chartered Surveyors Livery Company and a past committee member of the R.I.C.S (South London).

Robert has been working in Prime Central London agency for the past ten years. During this time, he has worked for two leading agencies as a top billing negotiator and for the past seven years has successfully managed his sales team to consistently both meet and exceed targets. Robert has been Wetherell Sales Director since July 2020 where he is actively utilising his vast experience of prime second hand properties, new build developments and client relations.

Rob has worked in Prime Central London residential sales for the last 13 years. Rob currently lives in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea but has spent much of his career within Westminster, helping grow the sales team of a well-known national estate agency into one of the market leading offices in the area before joining Wetherell in 2022.  As one of the companies top performing members of staff Rob brings with him significant experience and as a fully qualified Chartered Surveyor and RICS registered valuer he is well placed to provide accurate, honest, and experienced advice to both buyers and sellers.

Percy brings five years of experience in Prime Central London residential sales and holds a degree in Real Estate Management from Oxford Brookes University. Primarily working in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Percy possesses a strong understanding of the local market and is dedicated to providing an excellent client service. He joins the Wetherell Sales Team with grounded knowledge of the industry and the detailed processes involved when dealing with both sellers and buyers.

Matthew brings over a decade of experience in the London property market. After completing his degree in Property Development, he began his career in Chiswick before progressing through some of the capital’s most prestigious areas, including Notting Hill, South Kensington, and Knightsbridge — ultimately establishing himself in Mayfair, where he has been instrumental in creating and growing the area’s leading rental agency. A qualified member of both ARLA and RICS, Matthew has spent the past decade directing market-leading estate agencies, working with an exclusive clientele ranging from UHNWI and leading business figures to world-class developers, investors, and even Royalty in Prime Central London. Since joining Wetherell in 2019, Matthew has played a pivotal role in positioning the firm as Mayfair’s foremost lettings estate agency, continuing to set the benchmark for excellence and service in one of the world’s most competitive property markets.
