The Mayfair housing market is historically approaching the busy time of year with longer lighting hours, warmer viewing weather and a renewed spring in the step of the potential buyer.

This year's buying season started unseasonably early and to be exact, started on the 2nd January 2002! Buyers had held off for the last quarter of 2001 and most sellers refused to entertain low offers submitted by the opportunists in the market subsequent to September 11th.
However low interest rates have stimulated the market, both for those with cash in the bank returning a pitiful amount and speculators who can borrow so reasonably.
